Thanksgiving Day of 2024 - a day you never imagine it will be you and then you hear the devastating words: “You have Acute Myeloid Leukemia.” Lauren Klusmeier, 19, was hospitalized and within 4 days had the devastating diagnosis of AML. AML comes with so many facets that have had to be coordinated, from procedures to immediately getting a treatment plan in place to save Lauren’s life. Thursday, December 5, 2024, Lauren will start 6+ months of “aggressive chemotherapy” among other procedures and panels to begin receiving this life-saving treatment.
During this devastating time, we ask mostly for prayers! Yet, if you wish to support/donate during this time, this GoFundMe page will go directly to the family to help in all the financial endeavors this journey will take them on. As an ultimate decision was made, Jami, Lauren’s mother, will be staying with Lauren due to the severity until this fight is fought! As you can imagine, missing work, school, and the rest of your family's day-to-day lives is going to be extremely taxing mentally, emotionally, physically, and financially.
