About Ashlynn or ACorn:

Ashlynn was recently diagnosed with AML Leukemia and is undergoing treatment currently at Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis. Ashlynn Corn is a 15 (16 on 14 January) year old girl from Leesburg, IN. She is currently a sophomore at Wawasee High School in Syracuse, IN. Ashlynn is a small town girl, born and currently growing up in the community, in which she resides. Ashlynn loves to vacation with her 13 year old sister Kaleigh. She is also a lover of many breeds of dogs and most of all, she loves playing sports. She has been an athlete and competitor all of her life. She has enjoyed competing in the sport of snowmobile racing, in forms of drag racing, ice oval track, and sno-cross. She was a swimmer for many of her younger years with the Manchester Aquatic Club and also Warrior Swimming. She played school basketball in her elementary and middle school years. She just recently stepped away from a long run as a volleyball player to focus on the love of the game of softball. Ashlynn has been playing softball since the age of 8. She spent her early years learning and playing in the Wawasee Summer League Program before branching out into the travel softball world. So many great friendships and life lessons have been obtained while playing for coaches of teams like Michiana Impact of Elkhart, IN, True Impact 09 of Kendallville, IN and Firecrackers McBride 16U of Lakeville,  IN. Ashlynn picked up her nickname of ACORN while playing the sport she loves! She takes great pride in being a straight "A" honor student since the 4th grade and being a scholar athlete. Ashlynn competed her freshman season during the 2023-24 IHSAA High School Softball season as part of the Wawasee High School Varsity team. Ashlynn takes great pride in achieving success as a team as the Warriors finished 2nd in the Northern Lake Conference. Ashlynn was awarded an Honorable Mention All Northern Lakes Conference Team by competing in all 25 games played on the season finishing with a .324 batting average and 2 home runs. Ashlynn hopes to attend college and study to be a dental hygienist and play softball.

6pm - 8:30pm Hidden Oak Manor (what better way to open our new venue!) We will have a delicious BBQ dinner, and are adding auction items by the minute!
Our goal is to raise $20k as a community. It's a big number. But I believe in the big-ness of our family/community!
There are so many hidden costs associated; travel, lodging, meals on the road, time off work, etc. Think of the $100 ticket cost like this - each ticket could pay for one night in an Indy hotel (or apartment, etc) Each ticket can fill up the gas tank to get from here to there and back.
And beyond the financial cost, I honestly believe there is tremendous POWER in coming together as a family, lifting spirits with love and fellowship and togetherness.
